Zhoule Zhu

PhD Researcher

I graduated from Zhejiang Chinese Medical University with bachelor’s degree in clinical medicine in 2017. Currently I am a doctoral student at Zhejiang University, major in neurosurgery, with a research focus in stereotactic and functional neurosurgery. In the past five years, I learned how to reconstruct white matter tracts (WMT) in human brain by tractography using diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) technology to optimal deep brain stimulation targeting. I am also interested in studying how neuronal populations change in depression, and how it is modulated by electrical and optogenetic stimulation. In my free time I enjoy taking photos, running in circles and lifting heavy things.

Yuqi Ying

Master Researcher

I recently graduated from Chinese medical university of Zhejiang with a bachelor’s degree in clinical medicine. Afterward, I will go on to medical school of Zhejiang University as a graduate students where I aspire to be a neurosurgery physician. As part of ZJU Brainomics lab I hope to analyze and integrate transcriptomic datasets to explore gene expression of neurodegenerative diseases. I am hardworking and easy-going. Outside of lab, I enjoy eating all kinds of food, hiking and many other forms of exercise.
