Are you looking for excellent research opportunities for your master degree at the forefront of research in neuromodulation, brain-computer interface, and psychiatric disorders? The Hemmings Wu Lab at the Department of Neurosurgery of Zhejiang University School of Medicine Second Affiliated Hospital in Hangzhou, China invites students who are passionate about better understanding and treatment for neuropsychiatric disorders, including depression, addiction, OCD, and dementia to join the team.
You will be working in a hospital-laboratory environment, where you will be exposed to both basic science and clinical research settings. You will learn in both animal models and patients how neuromodulation is applied to treat neuropsychiatric disorders. We are an electrophysiology lab by trade, but we have an extensive set of tools, including optogenetics, calcium imaging, and whole-genome sequencing, to help us tackle relevant questions.
We believe in multidisciplinary approach and diversity, and we welcome students with any background and training to join us. Self-motivated team player is the only requirement (bookwarm, music lover, and cinephile is a plus).
