Research & Initiatives

Our lab focuses on using neuromodulation technology (including deep brain stimulation (DBS), spinal cord stimulation (SCS), responsive neurostimulation (RNS), trigeminal nerve stimulation (TNS), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and radiomodulation) to better understand underlying mechanisms and optimize treatments of various neuropsychiatric disorders. We use a multidisciplinary approach by integrating neuromodulation with electrophysiological, neuroimaging, computational, bioinformatics, and optical information in research and clinical settings. Current research projects include studies on depression, Parkinson's, obsessive-compulsive disorder, epilepsy, pain, normal pressure hydrocephalus, and Alzheimer's.

We are based in the Center of Functional Neurosurgery at Zhejiang University School of Medicine Second Affiliated Hospital in Hangzhou, China.
